Service Opportunities

Maria Immacolata School and Community Service Projects

Maria Immacolata is participating in several programs for the 2015-2016 school year.  These programs can help our school earn cash, points or credits for purchases.  They can also help some local charities or our commitment to “Go Green.”  Your participation in these programs is greatly appreciated!

School Store

For those of you who shop on-line, please do your shopping through SchoolStore.com.  This is a rewards program that will donate a percentage of your purchase back to our school.  The site is secure and has many of the stores where we often shop (Target, ToysRUs, Wal-mart – over 200 stores).

  • Step 1 log in to SchoolStore.com

  • Step 2 Select Maria Immacolata School (not Maria Immacolata Catholic School)

  • Step 3 Select store and shop. You are shopping at each store's website.

Each store gives a different percentage to the school.

Best Choice Save-A-Label

Clip the UPC from any Best Choice product.  Our school can earn $.03 for each Best Choice UPC symbol redeemed, with a minimum of 1,000 labels required for redemption.  Additional information can be found on the website, www.awgbrands.com, then click the Save-a-Label tab.

Box Tops for Education

Clip 10¢ Box Tops coupons from hundreds of your favorite products such as Cheerios®, Betty Crocker®, Pillsbury®, Ziploc®, Kleenex®, Hefty®, Juicy Juice® and more!  In addition, many products have Bonus Box Tops.  Each box top has an expiration date, so you can help out by not sending in expired Box Tops.  Our school does not get credit for expired Box Tops.   Submission deadlines are October and February each year.

Get friends and family members to contribute by collecting Box Tops and signing up for Box Tops online. No matter where they live, they can make a difference for our school!  Box Tops for Education online can help our school earn additional cash.  First, you must register online through the Box Tops website, www.boxtops4education.com, and designate Maria Immacolata as your school.  Then you must start your online shopping at the Box Tops for Education Marketplace to ensure that your purchases are credited to our school.

Community Coffee “Community Cash for Schools®” Program

Collect UPCs (bar codes) from all Community® and Private Reserve® products.  Remember - the more Community product UPCs you collect, the more cash our school can earn!   UPC shipments must be postmarked by January 31st each year to qualify.  After the submission deadline, Community Coffee Company will verify the submission, determine a redemption value of the total points earned, and then will issue us a check.

Labels for Education

Clip and save UPCs and beverage caps from participating products with the Labels for Education symbol.  (Clip only the UPC code, not the entire label). Our school earns points which can be redeemed for educational resources and supplies in the Labels for Education merchandise catalog.

In addition, we can receive extra bonus points when you sign up for e-Labels.  Visit www.LabelsForEducation.comto learn more!

My Coke Rewards for Schools

Our school has joined the My Coke Rewards for Schools program.  You can donate My Coke Rewards points to our school, and help us get things like classroom supplies, athletic equipment, learning aids and more.  You can help by encouraging parents, friends and others in the community to register for My Coke Rewards and to donate their points to our school.   Check out www.mycokerewards.com/schools for more information.

Office Depot

Office Depot credits our school 5% of your qualifying school supply purchases when you mention our school’s ID number when you make a purchase. MICS’s ID number is 70041941.  Please ask family and friends to use this number when they shop at Office Depot.  Purchases can be made at any store, online, or by phone.

Pull tabs from aluminum cans

The 4-H club is collecting the pull tabs from aluminum cans to benefit the Ronald McDonald Charities.  Please deposit your tabs in one of the containers in the library.

Recycling Program

Ongoing recycling projects:

Used ink cartridges -  Please send in any empty laser or inkjet cartridges from home or office.  The collection box is in the school office.

Newspapers – Please deposit your newspapers in the large container next to the garbage bins (adults only please).  MICS EARNS CASH BACK FOR NEWSPAPERS.

Target Red Card

By registering your Target Red Card in our school’s name, Target will donate a percentage of your purchases to our school.  Maria Immacolata’s school ID number is 7607.  To register your card, simply call 1-800-316-6412, go to Target.com, or visit Target’s Guest Services at any Target store.

Tyson Project A+

Clip and save Tyson Project A+ labels from participating Tyson products.  The label you save is easily identified by looking for the simple 1, 2, 3 program steps.  Our school can redeem this label for cash.  Each label is worth 24 cents.  One hundred (100) labels must be collected before our school can redeem for cash ($24).

Remember, every little bit helps our school in a big way.  We have had a great turn out in the past, so I know with everyone’s support we can have a great year.
